By default, in a Windows OS-based computer, the drive’s letter is started from C: which is automatically created and assigned by the system as soon as the main disk drive is created and the additional drives are assigned as D:, E:, and so on. Step 1: Open the “My Computer” window. Then right-click on the drive you want to identify and select the “Properties” option.

Step 2: In the Properties window, you will be able to see the drive letter under the “General” tab.

Step 3: The drive letter is the letter given to your disk drive. It is generally a single alphabet letter like “C”, “D”, “E”, etc.

Step 4: You can also find out the drive letter by right-clicking on any folder or file inside the drive. In the “Location” field, you will be able to see the drive letter.

Step 5: Once you have identified the drive letter, you can use it to access the drive in the future without any problems.
